Elkridge, Maryland (January 4, 2022) - Premier supplier of seafood products and customer services, JJ McDonnell & Co. Inc., is excited to announce that our company is growing.  George McManus will be moving into the newly created position of Chief Executive Officer and Visionary. In addition, the Company is equally pleased to announce the hiring of Brett Black, who will take over the role of President. 

McManus has served as President since 1986, when he acquired the Company.  This move will enable him to focus his attention on building stronger relationships with current and new vendors, customers, and employees. 

Brett Black has logged over three decades in the food industry. He is known for decisive decision-making and leading a team to achieve operational excellence.  Black served as President and CEO of Devault Foods and Vice President of Frozen Food Operations for Giorgio Foods.  He will report directly to McManus as he integrates all significant functions of business, operations and manage the day-to-day activities to ensure JJ McDonnell’s service in providing excellence in seafood.
